Ankur Bagga: The Force Behind Proposal Dubai, Qrated Event, and Dubai Wedding Planner
Ankur Bagga runs three event brands under one roof in Dubai. Proposal Dubai handles marriage proposals across the UAE, from intimate beach setups to drone-lit desert spectaculars. Qrated Event is his luxury event management company for birthdays, corporate galas, desert experiences, and full weddings.
Dubai Wedding Planner is the newest of the three, built from the proposal clients who kept coming back and asking him to take on the wedding too. All three operate under Experiences and Events LLC, based in Al Furjan, with Ankur personally handling every client from the first call to the final debrief.
"I as the owner of the company deal with every client as the first point of call and the last to get feedback," he says.
In a category where most businesses grow by adding layers between the founder and the client, that structure is a deliberate choice, held to across twenty years and three brands.

From Hotelier to Event Specialist
Before launching Experiences and Events, Ankur spent years working in hotels. That background gave him a particular understanding of how events feel from a guest's perspective - where the details are noticed, and where the usual shortcuts show.
His first proposal setup came in 2006 while he was working as a concierge in Dublin, Ireland, and the realisation that a professionally orchestrated moment was worth paying for, and that the standard of execution was what clients would remember, shaped everything that followed.
Luxury travel deepened the instinct. Time spent in environments where experience is the whole point taught him what genuine care for the guest actually looks like. He moved to Dubai with that standard and has been applying it across all three brands since.
Proposal Dubai: The UAE's Largest Proposal Planning Operation
Proposal Dubai is the original brand and, by volume, the most active. The team plans marriage proposals across all seven UAE emirates, covering beach, desert, rooftop, yacht, poolside, hot air balloon, indoor, and fully bespoke formats.
Marriage Proposal Packages start from AED 3,500 for the Signature Collection, rise to AED 9,000 for the Premium Collection, and go further still for the Luxury Division, which includes drone light shows, fireworks against the Dubai skyline, and helicopter arrivals.
Last year alone, Proposal Dubai handled 180 proposals across the UAE. Featured in Gulf News and DXB News Network, the brand has built a level of media credibility unusual for an event business of its size. When clients are planning something they will only do once, that track record does meaningful work before anyone picks up the phone.
Qrated Event: Desert Experiences, Gala Dinners, and the Full Events Brief
Qrated Event covers everything outside the proposal and wedding brief, and quite a lot within it too. Private events include luxury birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, pre-wedding shoots, and custom desert experiences.
The corporate arm handles gala dinners, product launches, networking events, and team-building programmes. The team also runs its own photography and videography unit, with GCAA-licensed drone operators available, so clients can place the full production brief with one company.

The venue access is direct and established. Qrated Event works regularly with Burj Al Arab, Four Seasons, Jumeirah, One&Only, Bab Al Shams, Nikki Beach, Al Maha Desert Resort, and ZAYA, among others. For desert events specifically, where the choice of location and the logistics of getting everything to site can make or break the experience, those relationships carry real weight.
Qrated Event's strongest identity in Dubai is in the desert events space. Turnkey dinner setups in the dunes, private celebrations under the stars at Bab Al Shams, and corporate productions at Al Maha are all core to what the team does, handled end-to-end with no handoffs to third parties.
Dubai Wedding Planner: Built from the Proposals
Dubai Wedding Planner grew out of a pattern Ankur kept noticing. A couple would use Proposal Dubai to plan the proposal, and then come back asking whether the team could take on the wedding. Often enough, the answer was yes. Eventually, it made sense to build a brand around it.
The Dubai Wedding Planner site launched just before the 2020 crisis and was delayed by it. Since then, it has developed as a natural extension of the group's existing client base, with a built-in advantage: clients who arrive via Proposal Dubai already know the team, already trust how they work, and are not starting from scratch with a stranger. For a service that involves as much personal detail as wedding planning, that pre-existing relationship changes the whole dynamic of the brief.
When the Refunds Had to Come First
The hardest stretch Ankur has faced across two decades was the 2020 US-Iran conflict. The threat of regional instability triggered a wave of cancellations across all three businesses at the same time. Couples booked on proposals, families locked into weddings, corporate clients with events confirmed from destinations around the world: all of them needed their money back.
"The most stressful moment was refunding all clients that had booked weddings, proposals, events from all across the world coming into Dubai, once the war broke out," Ankur said.
The logistics of unwinding those bookings while managing supplier contracts, and having the conversations with people who had been planning the most significant events of their lives, was a test of a kind that no good season prepares a business for. They absorbed it and kept going, and that operational experience is built into how the group manages risk now.

Getting the Impossible Done
The part of the job that keeps Ankur engaged is not the prestige venues or the production budgets. It is the last-minute brief, the request that should not be deliverable in the time available, and the satisfaction when it comes together.
That reflects how the business actually runs day to day. Short-notice proposal enquiries are regular at Proposal Dubai. Corporate clients who come in late with complex briefs are not unusual at Qrated Event. Wedding enquiries that would give most planners pause end up at Dubai Wedding Planner.
The ability to say yes when others would say the timing makes it impossible is part of what twenty years of relationship-building in this market produces.
